Ingredients:
For the Filling:
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
For the Glaze:
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it stand for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
To the yeast mixture, add the white sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs. Mix well.
Gradually stir in the flour to form a dough. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth, about 5-10 minutes.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, approximately 1 hour.
After the dough has risen, roll it out into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture generously over the buttered dough.
Roll up the dough tightly, beginning at the long edge, to form a log. Cut into 12 equal-size rolls.
Place the rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking pan. Cover them and let them rise until doubled in size, approximately 30-45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze. Mix cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add confectioners’ sugar, vanilla extract, and salt; beat until creamy.
Once the rolls are done, spread the glaze over the warm rolls. Serve and enjoy!
