Steamed Fish with Spicy Lime and Garlic Sauce

Instructions

Prepare the Fish:
Rinse the fish thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels. Score the fish on both sides with diagonal cuts about 1 inch apart.
Place the ginger slices and green onions inside the cavity and on top of the fish.
Steam the Fish:
Set up a steamer and bring the water to a boil.
Place the fish on a heatproof plate that fits into your steamer.
Steam the fish for about 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Prepare the Sauce:
While the fish is steaming, mix the lime juice, minced garlic, chopped chilies, fish sauce, sugar, and water in a small bowl. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
Assemble the Dish:
Once the fish is done steaming, carefully transfer it to a serving platter.
Pour the spicy lime and garlic sauce over the fish, ensuring it is evenly coated.
